On The Right To Speak With The Media

This dissertation, tracing the academic source of the discourse power and analyzing in-depth its forming process, systematically expatiates the background and inevitability of regarding the tussling and competition on the international discourse power. It makes analysis centering on the topic of the construction of the international discourse power of contemporary China and takes the"3·14"incident in Tibetan areas as a main case study. Finally, it offers its strategy and suggestions on how China and China's press should actively seek dovetailing with international discourse power frame based on state status and the principle of putting our interests first, and take initiatives among international competition, in order to enhance China's soft power and establish an international environment beneficial to China's harmonious development.
