Along with the development of information technology, IT has attracted more and more attention. On the one hand, we continue to invest in building a variety of hardware, system software, and network and other support systems, on the other hand, we continue to develop the implementation of CRM, decision support, knowledge management and other applications. However, the construction of these IT infrastructure is only the initial stage of information technology. How to run and safeguard these facilities is an extremely important but neglected issue. This LAN-based host and network monitoring system is to follow the concept of ITIL, applying ITIL incident management, problem management, IT service continuity management and availability management to the design of monitoring system.. This monitoring system combines the host monitoring, network monitoring ,key application monitoring, emergency alarm, remote control in one, can monitor and manage the LAN, WAN and Internet networking equipment, servers, and its key applications. It can detect and help clients to effectively control and reduce the risk of IT systems. It is an indispensable tool for IT operation and maintenance. This system belongs to the monitoring approach based on net, but the object of monitoring is not a network or hardware device itself, but the working of a network or hardware device on a host and the host of services and applications, all-weather monitoring the working of all network services. At the same time, the system is not only to monitor, but also to take the initiative to send the alarm, if anything abnormal, it can inform the maintenance personnel by multiple means.Furthermore, it can also remotely control a remote host.
