Three Gorges Project Resettlement Management Information Systems Design And Implementation

The immense benefits of hydropower project inevitably produce immigration issues. Immigrants work not only affects the progress of the hydroelectric project, but also is the key index to evaluate the benefit of hydropower projects.Immigration is not a simple migration issue, which refers not only to economic development, social stability and other macroeconomic considerations; there is also a property inventory, the reconstruction of housing facilities, resettlement, and many other micro-problems.In the face of a complicated situation, the particularly important cases are how to quickly get the information and data, ensure timely make the right decisions and improve the efficiency of the transaction. As an. effective information and data management tool, no doubt MIS has important role and status.In this paper, the Three Gorges immigration project as an opportunity, and the Three Gorges immigration MIS as the research object, using the empirical research method, and based on the Three Gorges project history information and the author's more than 20 years of experience in the Three Gorges project, and also based on the review and analysis of the Three Gorges immigration cases, this paper analyses the construction process, system architecture and the various subdivisions module business functions and business processes of the Three Gorges immigration MIS. The purpose is to provide a reference samples and experience for the future construction, improvement and research of similar MIS project.The paper is divided into five parts. The first part mainly introduces the research background and research content, purpose and meaning. The second part is the requirement analysis, mainly analyses from several aspects of immigration information management, business and business processes and achieve the target, and describes the Three Gorges immigration MIS environment, business needs, and system design goals. The third part is the engineering design, discusses the system's construction principles, construction basis and operational environment, and reviews the Three Gorges immigration MIS structure, function modules, database, interface and system security design and technical features and functionality of the system modules and interface operations measures. The fourth part is to practice and test the system, to adopt the text description and reenacted way shows the entire system works and testing process. The last part is the main conclusion of the Three Gorges immigration MIS experience gains and losses and improvement direction of the system.
