In Td-scdma Network Planning

With the rapid development of the mobile communication technology, the Third Mobile Communication (3G) technology becomes nearer and nearer to our life. 3G, featuring advanced technology and varied business patterns, begins to attract more attention from the customers, which results in a rapidly growing demand in the market. With the aim of winning 3G market, Mobile Network Operators all begin to prepare for the construction of 3G Network.Firstly, the thesis discuss the development progress of the mobile communication and confirm that 3G is during the pre-operation period in China. By comparing the three kinds of 3G technology including WCDMA , CDMA2000 and TD-SCDMA, the thesis tells us why China Mobile choose TD-SCDMA and discusses the structure of the TD-SCDMA system. However , the operating principle of TD-SCDMA system differs greatly from that of GSM system. This report tries to summarize the differences between the radio network planning of TD-SCDMA and that of GSM and gives the basic principles of the TD-SCDMA radio network planning. These are all constructive and useful.The major problem confronted by China Mobile is to find a cost-effective way to construct TD-SCDMA network, in other words, how to maximize the quality and minimize the cost during the construction of the network. The objective of the radio network planning is to strike a balance between capacity, coverage, quality and cost, in a word , to get the optimization design. In this report we make a study on the program and the way of the TD-SCDMA radio network planning. And we take the TD-SCDMA radio network planning of the Changchun in Jilin mobile as an example. After simulating several times by simulating tool, we complete the choosing work of the Base Station and the designing in the four kinds of the different measuring surroundings, which meets the demand of Jilin mobile and provides the guiding value to the coming construction and the operation of 3G network.
