The 2010 "Central First Document", which carried new hope for millions of peasants in China has been released. The community once again focused its attention on the "Three Rural" issue. Under the CPCC's great importance, agriculture-related news is frequently reported in various media. However, in a long time, the journalism academia and industry have made a lot of criticism and accusations on agriculture-related news, with emphasizing on the lack of "Three Rural" in the dominant position. The disadvantaged position of farmers as news resources is clear in the text."News resources" is a hot topic in the field of journalism and communication, which has been a pursuit of domestic and foreign scholars. A lot of many studies have found that news resources display different distribution in gender, age, occupation and other attributes, and even show some degree of bias. Once the mass media shapes "chronic" bias on news resources, the "construction" and "reproduce" of the social reality will be affected. In this theoretical perspective, this study use the method of content analysis, combined with depth interviews with media professionals to investigate the character and the bias of news resources of the agriculture-related reports of the "People's Daily".The main point in this research is that the bias of news resources on agriculture-related reports is obvious, which embodies the attributes of the difference between different sectors of the society. Compared with the farmer class, the official class occupies an absolute advantage and more fact as the providers of the fact or the main roles, who also put in the prominent position. While the farmer class has being' led, expresses personal experiences or emotions and acts as a secondary/supplementary news resource. The study further puts the analysis in the theory of news production and indicates that in the struggle of news and the influenced factors, official's need of propaganda and the party newspaper's aspiration for "information subsidies" fit in easily. "Political control" and "Propaganda" are the main reasons for the bias of agriculture-related news resources in party newspapers.
