Nowadays, enterprise computing environment is generally isolate and hetero geneous, it is lack of unified management, dynamic configuration of resources and server efficiency is at a low usage. The use of virtualization technology w hich makes it possible to execute concurrently several virtual machines on top of a single physical machine in order to effectively improve server utilization r educes enterprise IT operating costs and becomes the basis of green data cente r and cloud computing platform in the future. However, the development and diversity of virtualization technology brings the complexity of virtual system management. WBEM (Web-Based Enterprise Management) of DMTF (Distributed Management Task Force, Inc.) is a standar d framework developed to unify the management of enterprise computing envir onments which defines the description and the use of the managed resources in enterprise networks. A WBEM framework based common virtual systems man agement prototype using unified CIM (Common Information Model) modeling method and VMAN (Virtualization Management) Initiative, with the concept of autonomic computing, provides a way to solve the unified management issues of heterogeneous virtualization platform in today's enterprise computing enviro nment. In addition, SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) is the preferred architectur e for building IT systems, the latest Web Services based WS-Management Prot ocol is a hot area. Virtual systems management solutions based on WS-Manage ment (Web Services for Management) and WBEM framework is in line with t he concept of SOA and the need of modern enterprise systems management. T he author's research work mainly includes the following aspects:1. Research and Comparison of Web Services based distributed systems ma nagement standards.2. CIM Modeling Design of the virtual system and virtual cluster in WBE M architecture.3. Implement of WS-Management based Distributed Virtual Environment M anagement System.4. High availability systems design using virtualization, and autonomic com puting design for high-availability systems in virtual environment with WBEM. Virtualization is the future trend of enterprise computing environment, espe cially data center. Under the WBEM architecture, the author proposes a holistic unified management framework of the future autonomous data which is based on virtualization technology, and participates in the research and development of the core virtual model.
