| Information Commons was arised from American university library in 90's age 20 century, which is a new theory about information communication and information service. There're lots of systematical production about Information Commons'theory and practice study today in our country. Library 2.0 is a new concept about improving the traditional library's service. There're also many theory study about Library 2.0, but the study of Information Commons and Library 2.0's relationship is very rare. The author hopes to study the relationship between Information Commons and Library 2.0 by comparison, and on this basis to study Information Commons in a new view. This paper include Information Commons'concept, structure, and construction value; the reason about Library 2.0's rise, concept, the technology used in Library 2.0; designing the Information Commons Model on the basis of Library 2.0, and analyzing the elements of this model in the end.The paper indicate that Library 2.0 embody a concept of library service innovation, and Information Commons can be seen the practice of Lib2.0 which change the library's service with the combination of traditional service. Library 2.0 is not only a technology or product, but indicate a spirit. Information Commons is one system which just respect the theory of "the user is central", use the power of advanced library 2.0 technology, and explain the personal characteristic. The resource, management, and service in this system are all serve for the theory of "the user is central", dedicate to offer the user with intellect sustain to promote the development of science. The study of Information Commons in library 2.0 environment has lots of meaning, which make the library service theory transfer from "resource or technology is central" to "the user is central". This is the trend of library's service transformation in the future. |
