Electric forklift has been widely used because of its own advantages, such as high energy efficiency, less pollution, etc. As its control center, electric forklift controller has also become a hot topic in the embedded area. Forklift controller requires certain versatility and open for forklift products to meet individual and diverse needs. It provides technical staff for the redevelopment.Based on this background, this paper completes the design and implementation of the electric forklift controller's rapid development platform, by using VB 6.0 development tools in the PC. The development platform is used for software customization on the forklift controller; that is to say, forklift factory's technicians are able to define and configure the logic relationship of programmable I/O ports and programmable parameter. After configuration, the truck running parameters can be viewed by real-time monitoring interface.This paper designs ladder platform development module, programmable parameter configuration module, real-time monitoring modules and systems management module for the platform. As the core module of this platform, the ladder platform development module provides a ladder diagram editing function. Besides, the "positive depth-first" scan algorithm and Reverse Polish Notation evaluation algorithm are used to realize the syntax check, compilation and simulation on ladder diagram.In addition, database accessing technology based on ADO was adopted on the various modules of the data information storage and management, development of communication protocols, serial data communication technology was used in order to download and monitor data issued in this paper.Software test results show that the software operator not only can draw, compile ladder diagrams but also can configure programmable parameters and can download, monitor real-time serial data on the electric forklift rapid development platform, which are established to meet the requirements of this article.
