| Testing dynamic parameters of firearms is very important in the process of designing, producing and accepting of firearms. According to the features exist in the testing process of firearms'dynamic parameters, such as harsh testing condition, multi-interference and so on, this paper, based on virtual instrument technology, builds a multi-parameter dynamic testing system for firearms which is consisted of sensors, data acquisition devices and special test software.Taking fully account of the practical requirements and cost-performance, the firearms integrated test system is built by using data acquisition module based on PCI bus and application software of virtual instrument. After analyzing the characters of all dynamic parameters, high reliability, high cost-effective and user-friendly sensors and signal conditioning units are selected. Besides, calibration methods of Sound level Meter and laser displacement sensor are also studied in the paper. The software system is developed based on graphic programming software LabVIEW7.1, using the modularization method. It realizes the function of automatic data acquisition, processing and analysis, automatic results showing and automatically reports generated. In this paper, the database module is specially developed so as to facilitate retrieval of test data. Meanwhile, in order to better suppress the noise, wavelet threshold filtering procedures based on algorithm of Mallat is developed.Several live-fire tests are carried out to verify system performance, including muzzle velocity measurement, automatic mechanism measurement, chamber pressure measurement, muzzle noise measurement, etc. The results show that the integrated test system of dynamic parameters has satisfied the requirements of practical tests, and the building of hardware is reasonable, high cost-effective. The software system has good man-machine interface, and it meets with the operation custom of shooting range's personnel.
