Measure Of The Life Cycle Of Digital Resources And Management Studies

With the digital age coming, the digital resources have a rapid growing. These resources will not only need to be preserved for a long period of time, but also need to be inquired and to be modified frequently. So we must carry out digital resources lifecycle management according to value changes of resource during its lifecycle.Lifecycle measurement of digital resources is the foundation of the automatically lifecycle management of digital resources. Only through the lifecycle measurement can we adopt specific strategy and administer the digital resources under the minimum cost and the maximum value.Based on the research fruit of previous research, this paper discovered that there has a close connection among the digital resources lifecycle measurement, the digital resources lifecycle management and the digital resources value measurement. The digital resources lifecycle measurement is the basis of the digital resources lifecycle management theory. And the value measure of digital resources is not only the core of the lifecycle measure of digital resources, but also the necessary element of the lifecycle management of digital resources. Through measuring the value changes of digital resources we can measure the lifecycle of digital resources indirectly. Because the utilization of digital resource is able to reflect the variation of value, this thesis establish the measurement scheme and formula of digital resources lifecycle based on the "long tail" theory and "twenty percent-eighty percent" theory, then measure the data of citation and download of CNKI database and embedded analysis on the result of the lifecycle measure of digital resources. Finally, we analyse the measure result and summarize the digital resources lifecycle management rules through both from stages and layers.This thesis studies and analyzes the theory and method of the lifecycle measure of digital resources in order to provide interrelated supports for the digital resources management theory.
