Network function Virtualization(NFV)has attracted wide attention since it was proposed.At the same time,the development of technology makes the communication network structure more and more complex.In order to solve the shortcomings of the network structure,telecom operators introduce NFV technology to reform the network structure.In NFV network structure,virtual network function(VNF)is the core part of the virtual layer,so the research of VNF lifecycle management is one of the important links in the success of network structure transformation.However,the design and implementation of VNF lifecycle management is not perfect.Therefore,based on the above situation,this paper first studies and analyzes the VNF lifecycle management.After clarifying the contents that need to be designed and realized for VNF lifecycle management,it proposes to add OMGR module to the operation and maintenance center(OMC)to implement the link between Virtualized Network Function Manager(VNFM),OMC and VNF in VNF lifecycle management.Secondly,the flexible expansion and reduction strategy in VNF lifecycle management is formulated to ensure that VNF instances can expand or reduce resources automatically according to business requirements.Design the service non-destructive mechanism in the process of expanding or reducing resources to ensure that the service loss rate can reach the minimum.Then,according to the previous design ideas,the detailed process design of VNFM,OMC and VNF in the process of VNF instantiation,VNF instance elastic expansion and reduction,and instances termination is carried out in OMGR.Finally,the lifecycle management of VNF under the control of OMC is realized.Finally,CAT-SECP,the service network element in CRBT,is tested.The test results show that the above design can realize the automatic deployment of VNF instance and the flexible expansion and reduction operation.In addition,the test proves that there is no service loss in the expansion and reduction process of VNF instances,and the design of VNF lifecycle management is reliable and feasible.
