Well drilling is an important link in the petroleum exploiting process. There are many installations in the drilling spot; coordinate working of the installations is very complexity and petroleum is combustible, so the drilling spot is very dangerous. A fault operation of the drilling worker may lead to a serious accident, such as installations damage, well scrapped, blowout, explosion, cause enormous economic losses and casualties of personnel, so handle skill and consciousness of safety of the drilling workers is very important. Besides, because of the complex installations, dangerous environment and the high price of operating, on-the-spot training is impossible. Existing train of the petroleum exploiting comprises course explaining, signs reproduction and so on. The weaknesses of those patterns are lack verisimilitude, lack interaction. This research structures a three-dimensional training system which has functions of high verisimilitude interaction and feedback use VRML.This research structures vivid drilling spot activities keeping in mind the special characteristics of drilling trades. Such as: the analog equipment, the jumping over in many scenes, the drilling operates circuit, the accident consequences owing to the erroneous operation, the operate presentation. Workers may put into the virtual drilling spot quickly. They can study drilling knowledge, operate skill and safety consciousness in the virtual environment. This system supplies the workers with interaction; the workers take a hand in the work personally and absorb stimulation unceasingly and study the knowledge. The function of cooperation can help workers understanding the different working environment and assignment, knowing the connection of the different post. These two abilities are very important to raise working efficiency.This research follow general step of the software engineering: first of all, beginning with function demand, performance demand and business information demand; giving tactics of settle problems and expounding feasibility. Secondly, we design function and structure of the system on the basis of the theory and technology. Next, we finish whole design according to procedure, system technology and different function parts.The final part makes a summary of the designing, developing and effectuation, giving the merits and demerits of the system. I hope that it would be improved in future. At the sane time, I'mlooking forward to the future of the virtual Vocational education.
