Virtual reality technology uses the computers to simulate the real world and forms a virtual environment. Based on this technology, the virtual laboratory can play a very important role in university education as well as in research activities. Through the network formed by virtual reality technology, the students can learn and observe the characteristics and structures of the laboratory equipments without the limitation of space. Take the virtual reality technology into the contemporary college education can not only enrich the teaching methods but also enhance the interaction between students and teachers.This article briefly describes the basic concepts of virtual reality technology and its development at home and abroad to explain the concept of virtual laboratories and the significance of the research. The Virtual Simulation Instrument Laboratory of Analysis uses a VRML programming language for scenario modeling. The article describes the features and syntax of the language. Taking into account the complex structure factors of the laboratory equipment, only use VRML to create complex models may not be enough, after the comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of a variety of modeling tools, we choose3DS MAX as auxiliary modeling tools.3DS MAX modeling has the power to create the experimental device model and output.as.Wrl file in VRMLPad by Inline node importe each experimental equipment into the lab scene, including lighting in the scene, a video player, and decorative plants ect. To make the virtual scene more real and vivid. Eventually, the scene files are shown to the viewers through the network, so the optimization of the model file is particularly important. In this article,we try to optimize the virtual scene from many aspects to make it more suitable for web browsing. We take ultraviolet spectro as the main object of sutdy in the Virtual Simulation Instrument Laboratory of Analysis, besigned the basic interaction and extended interaction of the device, then ultimately realized the basic experimental operation of the device in the virtual laboratory.
