The process of medicine logistics includes: relying on certain logistics equipment, information technology and the management system of purchasing- marketing-storing effectively integrate upstream and downstream sources of marketing channel; and by optimizing the acceptance, storage, sorting, and distribution processes of the links on drug supply, marketing and distribution, this can improve order processing ability, reduce errors in the sorting of goods, shorten inventory and delivery time, reduce the flow of costs, and realize the automation, information and efficiency of medicine logistics, improve service levels and efficiency of using funds.In this paper, the modern medicine logistics system from the overall planning is constitute of four sub systems—Automatic Solid Repertory System, Automatic Sort Transportation System, Automatic Sorting System, Computer System of Management and Control. They are designed by the demand of "four integrity". The first integrity means automatic in-consignment, out-consignment, sort and transportation of goods. The second one means monitoring and automatic display the whole fields in all domains. The third one means the close management by modern mode of management in all process. The fourth one means all facilities and their buildings are disposed and installed by the demands of automation or modernization. The focus is the management and monitoring of automation, and in this management and monitoring, especially do a bold attempt in the application of Automatic warehouse management system (WMS), which make WMS have all functions from storage rack to business design, and can meet the demand of modern medicine logistics center's simple operating and precise management.The success of the design and application is proven by the related engineering projects in Beijing, Shanghai and Changsha. It has obtained the marked benefit in economy and society, so it is welcomed by the users.
