With wide range applications of Digital Storage Oscilloscope, it also raised higher requirements on its interface functions. When the DSO communication with the PC machine, or external storage devices, it is hoped that interface and useful information related signals can be real-time transmissed or storaged, and thus facilitate processing and analysis the relevance measured signals; At the same time, it can also read storaged devices file to upgrade the software system, or read-back wave inforamation to compare with present wave, in order to facilitate operation on different occasions.Based on the above point of view and research requirements, we carried out DSO U-disk drive design and related FAT32 file system design. It is implemented by interface chip SL811HS in this system, realized the function of DSO data stored in U disk or read data from the U disk. This design can storage waveform data and measured parameter, and storage DSO interface picture. The storage functions in accordance with the user's requirment form; meanwhile it can use the stored device file to carry out software upgrade and the comparison of waveforms.This paper mainly covers: USB system architecture, Host 's working mechanism, U disk related agreements (including the Bulk-Only Transfer Protocol, UFI instruction set), FAT32 file system,. BMP and PNG bitmap and. CSV file storage, and so on. Based on these knowledges, the software design and debugging of USB Host system is carried out.This design implement a DSO USB Host interface function, it can enumerate, configurate, read/write FAT16/32 formats MP3 player and U disk, and can accordance with user specified file name and storage waveform to store data, settings, and interface picture. At the same time, data can be read back from the U disk to DSO for carrying out follow-up operation. Through the design, the USB interface characteristics are well used on DSO, and used different file storage format facilitate PC to view, meet the performance requirements of the subject. It is reliable, and can be migrated easily and flexibly.
