Train intelligent display unit is a important components of train control system and information systems. It is responsible for train status information display and provide human-machine interface of the train control system. Considering the bad field environment, train intelligent display unit must have more strict reliability and stability.IEC61375-1 train communication net (TCN) is a standard for data communication between railway equipments established by International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). TCN includes two kind of bus: Wired Train Bus (WTB) connecting between the various compartments and Multifunction Vehicle Bus (MVB) connecting the equipment inside the compartment. MVB Bus technology is widely used in the field of domestic locomotive control, and must be supported by the train intelligent display unit. Train intelligent display unit is strict with reliability. According to the idea of reliability designate, the process must be well controlled including device selection, signal processing, power circuit processing, surge protection, thermal design, structural design, derating design, PCB layout and so on. Train intelligent display unit have greatly improved the stability and reliability, and is passed the test of low-temperature, high temperature, electromagnetic, compatibility, vibration and impact, low temperature storage.Train intelligent display unit adapts PXA255 processor, expands the core circuitry and peripheral interface circuits commonly used. Which focused on analyzing the expansion of MVB interface, including the functions of MVBC chip, circuit design between MVBC and the ARM processor, as well as the MVB ESD interface circuit design.Train intelligent display unit use Linux operating system, tiny-x is used for graphical display interface (GUI) and FLTK for graphical interface development tools. Project completed the drivers of common hardware interface, and a detailed analysis of the MVB network interface of software programs, including reading and writing process data and message data of MVB. Focus on the realization of real-time protocol (RTP) in Linux environment.Finally, the train intelligent display unit has completed a series of tests, including hardware reliability testing, system testing, MVB network communication test.The successfully development of train intelligent display unit provided a good reference for the design of equipment with MVB interface based on other king of operating systems, it has a significant market value and technical value.
