Following the rapid development of computer technology and electron technology, simulstantly with the electronic system reliability theory getting mature gradually, the computer distributes control system getting more and more widely application on transportation field. Train communication network is a typical example of computer distributes control system used on transportation field, which can provide an information exchange platform with high speed and reliability. Central control unit is a key device in train communication network; it takes a role of overall dispatching. CCU mostly takes charge of communication monitoring and management of wire train bus and multi-function vehicle bus, gathering,processing and recording of status data and failure data, controlling of traction/braking feature , and some auxiliary function (undervoltage protection,the main electric transformer oil temperature protection splitting phase atomically controls and wheels/wheel's diameter deviation compensation). So if there is something wrong with CCU, the whole train communication network perhaps collapse, and then the driving safety will be affected seriously. Accordingly the reliable running of CCU is one question should be attached importance to.The main task of this thesis is with the understanding of current design principle,design line,realization method and the performance, brings forward a new fault tolerance heat preparation scheme based on network, expounds the precondition of slave CCU taking the place of locomotive controls when at fault, clarifys the failure criterion and the change-over conditions of the master and slaver CCU based on the precondition above, and gives the realization of the architecture,hardware and software of CCU aiming at SS3B electric locomotive, at last uses markov model integrating multi-failure model to evaluate the reliability and the safety of the fault tolerance heat preparation structure of this thesis. On the building-up Markov model we make a consideration of many aspects such as failure-safety,common mode failure and failure detected etc., which makes the evaluation model specific,trust worthy and not too complicated at the same time. The analyzing method and the evaluation result of this thesis also has some significant to the reliability and safety design and the evaluation of the general heat preparation system.
