Train intelligent display unit is an important part of the train monitoring system. Itprovides a real-time human-machine information interface for the train, and is mainlyresponsible for monitoring the condition of equipment information and failure information inthe running train, then controlled by the operation workers. Its reliability and stability has adirect impact on the normal of the monitoring system.IEC61375is a special standard for the data communication of the equipment whichbelongs to the train communication network. Judging from the bus topology structure, traincommunication network includs two levels: the bottom layer is called Multifunction VehicleBus(MVB), which is used to connect the different equipments of the same vehicle; the upperlayer is called Wire Train Bus(WTB), which is used to connect all the nodes of the differentvehicles. The train intelligent display unit (IDU) is actually the third equipment articulated inthe MVB. Therefore, IDU must be able to support the interface of MVB.The intelligent display unit in the system is developed further based on the MVB NIC.For the hardware, combining with the system design requirements, train intelligentdisplay unit adapts S3C2440processor, expands the core circuitry and some peripheralinterface circuits, mainly have power supply module, memory module, LCD module and keymodule.after that, briefly explain for the function and diagram design according to the MVBNIC which are tested successfuliy.For the software, train intelligent display unit use Linux as its system developmentplatform, Qt/Embedded is used for complete the designing system monitoring interface. Thispaper complets the drivers of some hardware interface, and a detailed analysis of the MVBNIC of software programs. Focus on the realization of TCN protocol in Linux environment.According to the standard of IEC61375, using some Linux system related mechanism, thispaper completes the communication part of the software.
