Free Layout Design For Children's Picture Books

Research on children's picture books related to art, literature, psychology, design and various aspects of publishing, is a multi- interdisciplinary area. In this article, I focus on the children's picture books in this area of the layout design to carry out an analytical study, combined with the freedom of contemporary layout of the results of a new point of view of a picture book for children features of visual form analysis. The core of freedom of layout design is to break the visual constraints, visual page elements and composition of any part of the free combination, which gave a visual considerable freedom, and strengthen the perception of the effect. Children's picture books because of their audience with the special format can not be made too strict dogma, but more lively, a lot of places and the spirit of freedom of layout design in line with many aspects of these two similar, but because the children cognitive understanding is limited, only the freedom to pursue the visual effect of the neglect of readability, not understanding the purpose of guiding children. So, in some respects, this"freedom"is a contradiction of the design, how to handle this"contradiction"to achieve a balanced picture, is the creator of picture books for children need to confront and solve the problem, then, a really good picture books what kind of graphic design? Visual balance is achieved is a good picture book? These issues are explored in this article need.
