CFAR (constant false alarm rate) detection technology which can distinguish the target echo from clutter is one of the key technologies that impact radar performances. In this thesis, focused on radar clutter modeling and CFAR detection, research work in clutter theoretical modeling, hardware simulation, CFAR algorithm and hardware implemetation is finished. Including:(1) According to the mathematical model of clutter, zero memory nonlinearity is applied, and three distribution types clutter are simulated, including: Rayleigh distribution, lognormal distribution and Weibull distribution. Based on FPGA and digital up-conversion technology, these clutter analog signals are generated in the hardware platform, and verified in both computer simulation and hardware measured data. Experimental results show the correctness of the generated clutter.(2) For these three clutter models, three corresponding time-domain CFAR algorithm are studied,such as : CA-CFAR technique based on Rayleigh distribution, Log-t CFAR based on Lognormal distribution and OS-CFAR based on Weibull distribution, the programming algorithm and performance evaluation are completed.(3) Two frequency-domain CFAR algorithm are researched, frequency domain CA-CFAR and multi-threshold frequency domain CFAR algorithm. The programming algorithm and performance evaluation are completed, the algorithm is completed in TS-201s DSP hardware platform ,debuged and tested in the actual signal processor. The experimental results verify the effectiveness and correctness of the algorithm.
