Private collections of books was a very meaningful activity in ancient Chinese society ,which has almost throughout the entire feudal society from Spring and Autumn period to the end of the Qing Dynasty. Qing Dynasty was the most prosperousest time of private book collection, and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty was the period that the private book collection group formed.Because of the special social background, the private book collection group in the beginning of the Qing Dynasty has experienced a developing process that from small to big,and from depressed to prosperous.While making great efforts to develop their strength, private book collection group in early Qing Dynasty gradually formed some characteristics that different from past dynasties. Private collection group of the early Qing Dynasty has made a great contribution in preserving and reorganizing ancient book literature,promoting the exchange and development of academic,impelling the book collection atmosphere public and so on. Their truth-seeking collecting spirit and book handling techniques are worthy of us to learn from.
