Cmm In Small And Medium Software Enterprises

CMM defines different development phases in practice, including definition, implementation, measurements, control and improvement for software origination. CMM is a framework, which specifies only the characteristics of software development capability and the goal of improvement at different levels that should have, but it does not prescribe any process. So different users must build their own development process to deal with different situations.In our country, most software enterprises are small. Howerver, there are many problems of production and management, such as unstable quality, low produce efficiency and lost control of cost etc.According to studying point of small type software enterprises, this thesis establishes software development process on the methodology of CMM and waterfall model in software life cycle. We divide the project into Project Lauching Management, Project Plan, Software Develope Plan, Requirement Management, Project Concluding Management, Software Requirement Development, Software Analysis Design, Software Implement,Software Testing, Configuration Management and Software Quality Assurance. We describe flow, role, activity and output of each phase, then we can give a model of assuring software quality for small type enterprises.
