Application of Embedded technology in PC era is more and more popular. Application Embedded system can improve reliability and shorten research period of product. In hardware its base is MCU, EMPU and DSP. Single chip technology is more perfect and its application is wide. DSP is used in data processing and its direction is linked with control. With communication and Information Appliance's development microprocess is rising. At present microprocess applies in some advanced domain and is direction of embedded technology. In software embedded operating system is replacing super cycle software mode and will be new direction. This needs high performance hardware support. No operating system in embedded system but cycle control before. It is enough to some simple device. With more complex system, software is complex too. Operating system is necessary. Now many embedded system is linked with all kinds network and so need network function. To embedded system of coding control cycle adds network function and in this way will result in system complexity and need use operation system.In this paper embedded system's MPU is S3C44B0 and its operation system isμC/OS-II. S3C44B0 MPU is integration many periphery function.μC/OS-II is a real time operation system kernel and has reatime quality and little code. Its structure is clear, transplant is simply and application is wide.μC/OS-II is a perfect teaching material as college student study material and embedded operation systemμC/OS-II apply in no MMU CPU field.This paper summarizes the definition, characteristic, software, hardware and operating system of embedded system. According to the hardware design of teaching experiment flat, the transplant process ofμC/OS-II is analyzed, and its transplantation way are provided, and problems concerned about the transplantation process are summarized. Use for reference is provided to ARM7TDMI series CPU. The basic functions made by driver program and excellentμC/GUI software are introduced. Compared with several graphics interface, GUI of embedded system needs light, few resource, high performance, good reliability and easy configure characters. The transplant method aboutμC/GUI is simply introduced, and development, application trend of ARM MicroProcessor Unit, operating system and GHI is pointed out.
