Improper tire pressure might lead to lower stability of operations and brakes, which increases the dangers in driving. The tires' troubles are one of the main factors of the sudden traffic accidents, especially in high speed driving.TMPS encompasses two major parts. The receiver fixed in driver cab and the transmitter fixed on each tire. The transmitter examines pressure and temperature inside the tire by sensors and then sends data out at meanwhile. The receiver processes data from the transmitters and alerts when abnormities exists. TPMS could monitor the condition of tires contemporarily and prevent tire blow-ups efficiently. TPMS has been in possession of wide market in autoelectronics recently.The wireless tire pressure monitoring and adjusting system discussed in this paper is brought up by an ongoing project. In addition, some new features are added to the system based on the general framework. These features not only contain tire pressure and temperature monitoring, but also the auto-adjusting abilities, which maximize the auto safe. Parameters configuration is another selling point, serving as a more clear principle to describe the abnormities in diverse driving conditions. At last, the system is able to relocate after switching tires. The design follows the new trend that TPMS is becoming more diverse in the future.A study has been made on the research and development processes of wireless tire pressure monitoring and adjusting system and the hardware design and debugging are the main focus. The main contents are illustrated as follows:(1)The current development status and trends of TPMS have been introduced and the current main schemes have been analyzed. The systemic framework, which including the hardware schematic and the devices used have been generally introduced.(2)The central control module has been realized. The schematic circuit diagrams and the sample PCB pictures have been showd. Several problems appeared during the design of 125 KHz low frequency wake-up circuit; 433 MHz RF circuit and power circuit have been simply discussed. The thoughts and menthods of the software design have been provided. The performance and configuration menthods of the main chips in this system have been analyzed and the test programs for each hardware modules have been developed.(3)The debugging and testing methods of this system and related testing results have been depicted. The system can meet the requirements.
