In the modern field of the wireless communication, software radio technology gets more and more widely usages. According to the basic idea of software radio, it has become a modern communication system development trend to build a standardized and modular hardware platform which uses software to achieve various communication functions such as frequency band, modulation type, data format, encryption mode and communication protocols, which also makes the high-speed broadband A/D and D/A converter reach the antenna as close as possible.As a key member of the communication family, short-wave communication gets high-degree and worldwide attention because of its simple way of equipment, long communication range, strong survivability, and good flexibility. However, in the short-wave communication system development process, the creation of the hardware platform and Test for stability become key factors which influence the progress of the system research.In light of the idea of software radio technology, this article introduces a hardware platform of a common IF digitization short-wave communications system and completes some specific communication functions through loading related software on this popular hardware platform. Combined with the characteristics of the platform, we complete the baseband software realization of the differential frequency hopping (DFH) communication system which is based on the common platform and introduce the algorithm tasks'division of the on board chips and the design scheme of the interface communication between them. At the end of this paper describes the process of the experiment and gives some of the main issues and the solutions.
