As a important method for middle or long distance wireless communication, short-wave communication gains its recognition over again, for its long-distance and anti-destroy capability. But now more advance performances are expected. For example, multi-mode and multi-band radio (MBMMR) is intensively expected. For the reason of power consume, volume and reliability, Tradition Radios are not suitable for MBMMR. So great changes must be taken, such as making Radio intelligentized, digitalized, and more software being used. Now, the A/D convert chips and DSP chips have better performance and lower price. All these make it possible for Software Radio's realization.According to the concept of Software Radio, The thesis realized digitalized demodulation by software after the IF. Based on a uniform hardware platform, diverse arithmetic is used to demodulate LSB, USB, AM, CW signal. So it can decrease the module's volume, lower its power consume, what's more, it make it possible for demodulation of other types signal such NBFM on the same platform. By contraries, traditional radio use diverse hardware set for each types of signal's demodulation, which is too complicated.The thesis describes a solution for software short-wave receiver. Analog is converted to digital signal by using IF under-sampling technology. Then a uniform hardware platform is consisted from TMS320C54 family DSP, in which, diverse modulated signals are demodulated using pure software. In the thesis, discussion is processed on the modes of sampling, realization of arithmetic and the selection of hardware architecture. The detail principle of demodulation arithmetic and its realization in DSP are also depicted. In the end, the thesis gives the result for the proof of the solution.
