Through these glamorous spectacles, fashion magazines provide the latest information about fashion and beauty at the first moment, and arouse the audience's desire to buy fashion merchandise. Our world is a piece of the spectacles everywhere, so we sometimes have no choice, but also unable to resist. By reading G.E. Debord's spectacles society, Jean Baudrillard's consumer society, Georg Simmel's philosophy of fashion, and Christopher Lash's Culture of narcissism, I have a deeper understanding about spectacles culture in the fashion magazine. Through these glamorous spectacles, fashion magazines spread to the audience the concept of fashion and consumerism. To some extent, it does promote consumption, and make the world more splendid and colorful, but it lacks the heart of the audience really care, blindly discipline audiences to symbolic consumption and conspicuous consumption, then you can get the so-called "identity."
