In the Future Combat System, Unmanned Vehicle will be play an important role in the information, monitoring, investigation, search, transportation and explosive handle, it can also perform dangerous military mission instead of infantry in the exceptional circumstance and reducing casualties effectively. So researching in this field has important significance.Based on the development of the Individual soldier crawler Unmanned Vehicle, the paper carried out a detailed software demand analysis and the overall structure design of system, realized the system software design of the Unmanned Vehicle of remote command and location monitor.The paper mainly completed the jobs as below:1. On the premise of software demand analysis, completed the structural design of software systems, designed the friendly man-machine interface.2. Established the network data communication between the Unmanned Vehicle and the operation control center. The operation control center stored and managed the received data using SQL Server 2005, command remotely the Unmanned Vehicle using a joystick.3. Developed some basic functions of the electronic map based on MapX control, including eagle-eye map, multipoint distance to measure, history track to display and so on; Realized accurate location of the Unmanned Vehicle depended on GPS data; Established the road network topology structure, realized the planning of the shortest path of the Unmanned Vehicle by improving the classical Dijkstra algorithm.4. Developed multicast sender filter and multicast receiver filter for video transmission using DirectShow, realized from video capture, coding, transmission, to receiving, decoding, and show. Furthermore, realized the store of the video data and replay the history video.Tested the software system after finished the works above, the test result indicated that the design of software system is reasonable, run steadily and reached the design requirement.
