Research And Implementation Of Assisted Teaching System Based On The Tablet Pc

With the development of science and technology, more and more modern teaching installations are leaded to classrooms. Advanced digital teaching tools are widely used in diverse scopes of education. Today, in campus, teachers and students have already been familiar with multimedia instruction, but the effect of classes is not promoted as the coming of modern teaching tools. Traditional blackboard instruction mode has still occupied important position in campus education. It is the main object of this issue that how to fully make use of modern teaching installations to improve teaching and learning quality.By right of its advantage in hardware, Tablet PC will make innovative effect in education. In oversea, Tablet PC has already been applied in school. Although the Windows XP Tablet PC Edition OS supplies several software for office and teaching assistant, but a whole application system for assisting instruction has not been available. Because of this point, this thesis has researched assisted instruction system based on Tablet PC. The assisted instruction system integrates traditional blackboard instruction mode and multimedia instruction into a whole. It makes teaching better in classrooms.First, this thesis researches teaching features and development of Tablet PC in education at home and broad; Tablet PC's application context is defined. Digital Ink is the core of Tablet PC, but it has been done for studying Component Object Model (COM) before studying Digital Ink. So, COM and Digital Ink are studied step by step in next section. The component of Tablet PC and its characteristics are deeply researched. Then, after the requirements from users (teachers) are clarified and Tablet PC's application context, the system construction and function modules are analyzed; use case modeling and class modeling are made for system by Unified Modeling Language (UML). By using Object-oriented thinking, some reusable classes are constructed. At last, the assisted instruction system has been built on Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 by integrated COM and Digital Ink.
