In this thesis, it has designed and realized a system of marking paper on line safely by web services. The exam paper separated into question sheet and answer sheet are considered. The objective part of questions will be marked by the software automatically and the subjective part will be transferred to digital images then teachers mark this part on line by using the software system. Finally, our system will check the score of the two parts and get a sum as the valid result automatically. The key work of this paper:First, design the system in a four layers structure in .Net platform which are a data access layer, a business logic layer, a network control layer and a user interface layer.Second, considering the safety of data and the firewall and disk array, we have other soft measure, such as building a right management system by RBAC to authenticate user identity and strengthening the safety of web application server by SSL and encryption technology.Thirdly, for one of the key points in system design: the database interface,we build a uniform structure based on OOP and realize a data access kernel to support pop database such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, My SQL.Fourthly, build an examination estimate model based on rough set theory, it was used to analyze the grades qualitatively and the consequences can instruct the proposition and teaching.Fifthly, we adopt Smart Client, thus it makes the system work efficiently and automate the publish and upgrade. This thesis work is a key functional subsystem of the business product named"A++Soft", that has been certified by Institute of Science and Technology in Sichuan, and has obtained good feedback and reputations from the users.
