Research On The Smart Client Based Manufacture ASP Framework

Enterprise information system construction is an important issue for the development in modern manufacture enterprises and a potent way for improving production efficiency. With the advancement of IT technology, it becomes an evolving trend to provide the software through online services nowadays. As large IT Companies are all focusing on this technique, it therefore becomes a main research hotspot aiming to small and medium manufacture enterprise, to build the ASP (Application Service Provider) platform base on Web Services technology, guided by SOA architecture and providing online services.In this thesis, researches are made on the current status at home and abroad on the ASP reserch and application, as well as the application of Web Services and Smart Client technologies into this. With respect to the need of enteprise informationization in manufacturing industry, the mode of Smart Client based ASP has been proposed, which matches perfectly the feature of ASP application in mechanical manufacturing industry. Four related research topics have been covered which include:The framework of ASP platform based on Web Services. With study on the technical feature of Web Services and analysis on the necessity for combining Web Services with ASP, a new framework of ASP services platform has been provided.The architecture of ASP based on Smart Client. With analysis on the inevitability of combining ASP and Smart Client and investigation on the feature of new ASP mode, a framework of Smart Client based ASP platform has been provided. Disussions are made on its importance to enterprise informationization of the manufacturing industry.The implementation of the new ASP architecture. Research has been made on the technical construction of Smart Client in the new ASP rent architecture. By using the Microsoft's Offline Application Block and Enterprise Library, technical schemes are given on how to implement the ASP architecture.The application of the ASP architecture. In the light of a Sino-European Cooperative Project and focusing on the prevision CAE service, a prototype of the Smart Client based ASP application has been developed, based upon a Web Services based ASP platform this provides a solid basis for further developing the system in the future.Through combining the latest IT technology and the paradigm of ASP, the main objects on this research try to guide the SME to build ASP based information system. The results can be a good reference in theory and technology for further commercial development of ASP platform and the corresponding rental client.
