The Research Of Distributed Smart Client Application Model Based On XML Web Services

Smart client is a new generation of RIA supported by .NET Framework. It combines the functionality of C/S mode and stability easy deployment of B/S mode together, becomes the direction of Web application development. As a new technology, it would face a lot of problems when we take it into practice. For decrease the difficulty and risk, the paper offers a basic platform for applying smart client technology.First, the paper summarizes the web application and RIA, and it analyzes smart client and related technology. After that, the paper brings forward the Distributed Smart Client Application Model Based on XML Web Services.In the model, Interface present layer brings rich client experience and supports both immobile and mobile clients. Transaction logic layer offers offline mechanism for the model. Business logic layer encapsules business logic with Web Services. It not only degrades coupling and reliant on application environment but also makes the model distributed. Data access layer offers general data access ability and use XML files to wrap the data.Second, the paper discusses technical problems in research. In offline operating, the clients cache minor mapping data in local which it operation base on and synchronizes the data with server while regain the connection. In data accessing, it import Web Services to encapsulate the business logic. Comparing with the traditional middleware technology, the method increases the develop efficiency, commonality, distributivity and platform diversity. And it realizes the data integration in isomerizated system using XML encapsulation.At last, according to the hospital demand the paper develops distributed hospital information management system for verifying the maneuverability model. The system is designed as the logic structure in the model totally and gives realizing methods for technical problems in development. It offers guidance for similar system development henceforth.
