Collaborative Scheduling System Based On Workflow And Sharepoint

With the.NET Framework escalating,Microsoft bundled a release of.NET Framework 3.0 in its next-generation Windows Vista operating system.Compared with the previous version,.NET Framework 3.0 has a fundamental structural change.It contains three major new components and the Windows Workflow Foundation(referred to as WF) studying in this paper is one of them.Its appearance completely filled in the framework of the workflow on the vacancy.However,due to release a short period of time, how to take advantage of this framework,and in what manner to achieve specific workflow products,become a hot topic to Microsoft and researchers with the workflow in recent years.In response to these issues,this paper is based on office automation in the enterprise management agenda,given the realization of WF workflow products of the two programs to meet the different needs of enterprises.In this paper,the following is included:1.Reference to the standards proposed by the Workflow Management Coalition(WfMC),we analyze and discuss on the workflow management system, architecture and the reference model.2.We studied on the work flow mechanism,the characteristics of architecture and operating environment,and the necessary sum to working model.3.We give out the detailed design for the persistence and tracking services.4.Implement workflow based on Outlook and SharePoint.In the implement of this program,SharePoint work as a workflow run-time and package theWFworkflow again,Outlook work as a client to get schedule information from the SharePoint.5.Implement workflow based on Web technology.In the implement of this program,we use ASP.NET as a host of WF applications,described the work workflow system in the management of the business agenda,function modules,database design.Practice shows that:The implement of the two WF-based product described in this paper is feasible.The way to achieve WF workflow by Outlook and SharePoint is easy to use and stable.IT makes easy for the rapid and efficient flow of work to build products,and improved business efficiency,saving the cost of the enterprise.However,because of the limitations of interface features and template provided by each version of SharePoint,it cannot be applied to the high performance requirements of the enterprise.By contrast,the second implement-WF workflow approach based on web technology has a better system compatibility,and is able to release of the WF functions completely,but it takes a long cycle in the development and testing.
