Innovation has become a resonantly topic of archival research from 1980s' period in china. In the course of researching archival innovation we must follow a logic thread, that is archival practice and theories innovation develop collaterally. Changing in the surroundings of archives work's practice lead to the birth of many innovative archival theories, appear in archives work. They are the mark of archives work progress, and the power of archival theories development. Therefore, research of the logic thread deeply is important to grasp direction of archival theories development and solve problems in archives work's practice.The paper uses historical materialism as guiding ideology, research archival innovation theories in different periods, analysis dialectical relation of archival innovation theories and practice development, thus prove that the logic thread of archival innovation development is archival practice and theories innovation development collaterally. The paper explains changes in archives work's practice and archival theories from archival theories development, analyzing these changes profoundly from philosophy as well.The paper uses Literature metrology method, analysis three core periodical by the method of quota statistics, then analysis archival innovation theories deeply, understand these innovation theories from macroscopic angle. Basing on this, the paper uses dialectical materialism as guiding ideology, discuss dialectical relation of archival innovation theories and practice development. By using of these methods in discussion, we not only make clear the process of archival practice and theories innovation development collaterally, but also recognize the issues contain in it profoundly.
