Health Care Reform Is Reported In The News Frame Perspective (2005-2007)

This study focuses on the coverage of Health Care Reform in China from 2005 to 2007. First, based on a content analysis of two representative newspapers, this study found out three important issues among the reports. Second, the study focuses on the key issues and gives a detailed analysis. Third, with a discourse analysis of a typical case we can see media' s different views of the fact. The study shows the macro news frame and micro news frame, and also suggests a connection between them. Therefore, the study discusses the functions and dysfunctions of news frame, and how the frame is strengthened or weakened, and appeals for responsible media.
