Under the guidance of the critical discourse theory, the paper focuses on thechanges from the discourses of Chinese public health news reports. How to think ofthese changes and what characteristics these changes have? These are the questions tobe answered in the paper.Chapter One introduces the question. Chapter Two analyzes the history ofChinese public health news reports since1949, and then briefs the concepts of“discourse”,“discourse analysis” and “news discourse”, and also traces the history ofdiscourse analysis, presenting the evolution of discourse analysis in China. ChapterThree to Chapter Five briefs the approach and framework of the research and on thebasis of Van Dijk’s discourse analysis framework, the paper compares the threesample groups from many aspects including macro-structure, super-structure,micro-structure, style and rhetoric.As a result, two characteristics of change from the discourses of Chinese publichealth news reports can be concluded. First, news discourse has replaced the officialpublicity discourse in a certain degree. Second, the journalism-specialized discoursehas been developed and constructed. Following an analysis of the social and historicalreason for such changes, the author argues the contribution of these changes. |
