At present, we are in the second stage of strategic planning of actulising modernization of transportation, which are raised by the needs of entering the WTO and the ministry of Transportation. Obsolete shipping administration system has not been able to fully satisfy the requirements of contemporary development, for the reason that there is an increasing demand for the digitalization and informationization of a series of watercraft coordination under the shipping administration. The construction of shipping information monitoring system, on one hand, has greatly enhanced the management efficiency; on the other hand, it helps secure the waterway transportation and provide a wide range of back-up service to the timely voyage ship. The dissertation focuses on the main function module of shipping information monitoring system, and probes into the digital communication technology which is used to provide a solution to the long-distance data transfer. What' s worth mentioning, the system built the shipping information monitoring model on the basis of C/S structure. Main task include:First of all, analysis of fundamental function actualised in the shipping information monitoring system, based on which relevant technologies requested by the system were clarified.Second, the dissertation conducted an analysis of requirements of the system and accomplished the design of system; the system adopted C/S structure, designing each functional module respectively, including system administration module, material administration module, and personnel administration module and shipping coordination module and so on, which facilitated the realisation of the system. In addition, the designing of relevant models of database and main tables of the system was completed as well.Last but not least, it also delivers an analysis of structural layout and network connection module, and achieves the shipping information monitoring system by means of hierarchical structure of MVC model, including systematic administration, personnel administration and shipping coordination, etc. Besides these, the operation of the system is justified by a practical case. As mentioned above, the system contributed substantially to the core competitiveness of the enterprise, which facilitates the enterprise to fit into newly emerging competition in the shipping industry.
