| Computer market is developing fast and competitive. The customers and business transaction information are dispersed and fragmented. The sales and service departments have their own independent information systems. The computer sales can not get all the customers and the operations information. The problem is that most agents did not keep data record for analysis. In addition, customer's information is not kept detailed and accurate.Computer industry oriented decision support system should support customer information sharing, and provide a unified user interface of the product platform. Moreover, the computer sales decision support system should be able to help develop marketing strategies o as to reduce the selling cost. Some domestic computer sales companies set out to develop a number of systems to support sales management. Due to the lack of unified planning and business development, the system is running well.Based on the above observation, this thesis will apply data warehousing, OLAP, and data mining technologies to develop a decision support system intented for computer computer retail industry, to achieve rapid and accurate data analysis for computer enterprises.The thesis survey and discuss the characteristics of computer retail business, investigate related technologies about decision support systems and its implementation technologies. Computer selling decision support system is for all stages of the process. It provides complete market analysis and decision support functions, e.g., analysis of market opportunities, selection of target markets, marketing strategies, marketing strategies, marketing control.The proposed decision support system is featured with analysis functions of the selling theme, system architecture, system compoenets. The system use the popular technologies and tools, e.g., for data warehousing, data analysis and data warehouse technology, data migration, OLAP, data mining tools and methods to provide a complete solution. |
