Research On Heterogeneous Data Integration Based On Grid Middleware And Implementation

Heterogeneous data integration is a very classic question in the database field. With the development of the XML and Web Services technology, Heterogeneous data integration becomes the research hotspot again. In recent years, Grid becomes an important information technology in the world. So it is of significant that research heterogeneous data integration middleware in grid environment.Firstly, the thesis begins with the significant of heterogeneous database integration, discusses the methods and technologies in detail which are used in heterogeneous database integration research field recently. Referring to related grid technology, analyzes their feature and weakness.Then, after researching OGSA-DAI which is a prevalent heterogeneous database integration middleware in grid environment, the thesis describes some feature and limit, for example, the effection of database connection is not very fast and the distributed query is not very good. On the basis of deeply research and analysis of the architecture and inner implementation process of OGSA-DAI, the thesis proposes a new architecture which extends and perfects its original functions, named EXP-DAI. The EXP-DAI add a database connection pool to improve the effection of database connection, and the EXP-DAI design a distributed query module and a virtual database to improve OGSA-DAI's distributed query ability.Finally, the thesis demonstrates the implementation process and test process of the key model of EXP-DAI. The result of the test indicate that database connection pool is helpful to improve the effection of database connection, and the distributed query module and virtual database is helpful to improve the ability of distributed query.
