Currently, domestic E-Business and E-Government systems have come forth in great quantities. But these systems are developed by different teams, furthermore their databases are distributed and heterogeneous and the systems can not access each other. So a platform which could access through different management domains to make information share possible is urgently needed. But the emergence of the Grid theories solves to provide a new way of thinking for this hard nut to crack. Though we have at present a lot of software according to the Grid environment, for example Globus, Legion, SNIPE etc., their functions are just toolkits and can't shield the distribution and heterogeneity of information in Grid environment. So a Grid platform supporting integration of distributed heterogeneous data resources is needed. For this reason, combining the OGSA and the semantic web technologies, taking the labor market realm as background, this paper constructs a semantic Grid model namely LF-Grid which support integration of distributed heterogeneous data resources. LF-Grid is compatible with the OGSA standard; it follows and expands the standard port types of OGSI. To improve the semantic ability, LF-Grid adds ontology, metadata and ontology-database mapping mechanism, then completes service discovering, service composing as well as searching and reasoning mechanisms towards semantic data. Thus LF-Grid becomes a semantic Grid of real meaning. To resolve "the information isolated island" problem which appeared in the informatization process of labor market domain, in the frame of the LF-Grid, this paper puts forward a new kind of mechanism which make use of ontology to integrate distributed heterogeneous database resources. This mechanism resolves the semantic heterogeneity problem by mapping ontology concepts to database words; implements a search formation algorithm and finally completes the job of data integrating in labor market...
