There always are surface flaws in process of cold-roll steel sheet caused by cast steel, rolling device and process techniques etc, for example, imprinting, impurity, scar, laceration and impress in steel surface, which not only influence appearance but also degrade resistance, hardiness, strength limit of steel. Higher and higher quality of steel surface is required due to customer need and drastic marketing competition since 80 years last century.With hard study of advanced detection techniques, this paper brings forward a proposal based on CCD and PCI fieldbus, which carries out high speed and accuracy data processing by CPLD and DSP and can automatically finish data collection, transmission, display, bug detection, alarm and shutting down. The main part of design is a PCI integrated circuit board based on DSP, CPLD and Camera Link protocol after completed analysis of demand. This board is achieved according to process techniques requirement, using Protel DXP to finish circuit scheme and PCB parts. Also the test board is used to debug and DriverStdio3.2 used for driver and test program. Finally, it's successful to achieve the debug of image transmission by CameraLink protocol.The test result gained from the design system indicates that it can greatly achieve function image data process and transmission. This paper educes an online measure system of cold-roll steel flaw detection based on CCD camera and concludes improvement point which is valuable asreference for development in future.
