Research On Improving Oracle Database Application Software Product Performance And Quality

Nowadays, the overall performance of domestic database application software products are not optimistic yet! Some products have not been tested for performance in the process of developing, and will be found acting poor performance after deployment in production systems; some run fast in the development system but badly after deploy to the production system; some running decline dramatically with the increasing of data volume and concurrent accessing volume .Even if the investment in hardware system expansion, which has improved services are only very limited...... This will not only make the software products and software project manager should bear tremendous pressure, and easily prompt customer's, or the customer's customer's complaints, it might even affect product receivables, cause the successor development work indirectly affect by the capital chain, ultimately making it difficult to continue to survive!The main reason leading to such a status, I believe that there are two aspects: 1) the SQL automatic performance optimization mechanism of market mainstream relational database products are not yet mature, so SQL optimization will be the responsibility of the software designers and developers , but most of them can not qualified majority of this work; 2) in each stage of the life cycle of database applications, application software developers are currently focused only on the development and maintenance of logic functions, and lack of performance on the design, implementation and testing, which lead many of the problems in the development stage left hidden until erupting in the production system! Solve often lead to repeat input, and the price is often several times of the development stage.In fact, for the most widely used relational database production --Oracle database, when developing application software products, with the aids of some Oracle database utilities, like the Parition Option, the Plan Stability , the Statistics Collect , supplemented by the development of scientific norms , we can make the full realization of the control in each stage of the life cycle, so as to enhance the database application software product performance quality, even the software developers' overall competitiveness.
