Based IMS Services Converged Multimedia Conferencing System Video Surveillance And Its Implementation

As the competition in telecom field becomes much more aggressively, not only IP phone shocks the traditional telephone service, the trends of mobile communication replacing and decomposing fixed communication becomes much clearer. At the same time, new communications technology, such as 3G, intensifies mobile market competition. As the technology develops and telecom operator's ideas straighten up, operator and equipment supplier reach a consensus that IMS is the best choice of realizing network convergence in NGN.IMS - IP Multimedia Subsystem - is a new subsystem brought by 3GPP Release5. It's built on the bearer network. Users can access IMS by Wireless Access Network or group domain (PS) of 3G core network. IMS uses SIP protocol as the main protocol to provide voice, data and multimedia services to users. IMS is independent from CS domain, but can intercommunicate with CS domain. Because of inheriting the thought of soft switch that to separate service from control, to separate control from bearing, IMS is favorable for the development and service convergence.This article designs a video surveillance & conference system based on IMS by researching and analyzing the architecture of IMS and the core protocol such as SIP, Diameter. The system assembles several services including video surveillance, multimedia conference and VoD. From designing and realizing the system, we show the convenience and feasibility of IMS service convergence, and the variety of assembling the services.The video surveillance & conference system is mainly composed of the application servers, which is developed on BEA Weblogic platform, camera alarm device which is developed by OpenCV, and function entities used for signal control. The final object of our system is to realize the haphazardry and variety by converging the video surveillance, multimedia conference and VoD services.
