Originally developed for the military's Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) program of Software Defined Radios (SDRs), the Software Communications Architecture (SCA) is the key component of the Soft-Defined Radio technology and it has been a focus of domestic and foreign software research for a long time. SCA standardizes the software architecture, hardware architecture, security architecture and API Interface Specification of the modular software programmable radio. Its aim is to achieve modular radio hardware, software portability, reusability and interoperability. While the SCA remains strongly influenced by the JTRS program and the military, it's now also being considered for use in commercial and civilian applications. Throughout time, the SCA has evolved as users (civilian and military alike), industry committees, and complementary standards weigh in on SCA features and capabilities.Through the ultra short wave simulation use case based on SCA, this dissertation introduces the development of the simulation use case, discusses the life circle of the use case ,the configuration of the application, the parameter configuration, and so on. First, this dissertation discusses the basic concept of software defined radio, then explains what is SCA, what is the main achievements of the study on SCA both at home and abroad, and most importantly, introduces the Core Framework(CF) of SCA. After that, the dissertation describes some key technology about SCA. When introducing the ultra short wave simulation use case, the author divides tasks assignments according to the different duty of different role in the system. Then, the author discusses the full process of developing the ultra short wave simulation use case, and through its configuration, certificates the the software architecture and its characteristics, functions such as configurability and extensibility. The innovations of this dissertation are : The project uses Ethernet bus instead of hardware bus, uses Host machine as processing unit, to implement the SCA standard simulation use case. The use case supports different operating systems, such as Windows 2000, Vxworks 5.5 and Linux 2.6. The use case also supports run-time configuration, system expansion, and provides an adaptive fault-tolerant scheme.
