Research, Knowledge Organization And Retrieval Based On Concept Maps

As a new tool of knowledge organizing and searching, concept maps(cmaps) can not only describe the knowledge of a domain, but also combine related resource in all kinds of types into cmap knowledge models. And they can provide the users with good collaboration, sharing, browsing and retrieval mechanisms to organize and utilize these knowledge and resources effectively. This paper analyzes the cmap-based knowledge organization mechanisms, and makes contrast of the traditional organization methods with them, then get the advantages of cmaps in knowledge organization. This paper analyzes the cmap-based knowledge retrieval mechanisms. And this paper uses the CmapTools kits to apply the cmap knowledge model to the Information science domain, and validates the theory of cmap-based organization mechanisms and the advantages.
