The Research Of Knowledge Connection And Its Application

The knowledge connection is the foundation that we are engaged in the knowledge activity and the knowledge management, the knowledge management goal is for the science organization and the effective use of knowledge, but the knowledge connection is the basic starting point and the theory basis of the science organization and the effective use of knowledge. Therefore, the essence of knowledge management is the knowledge relations management, through the knowledge relations' management to achieves the goal of the science organize and the effective use knowledge. The knowledge connection is the important theory question of knowledge activity and the knowledge management, since people has paid long attention to it. Knowledge connection has been universally applied to the field of knowledge activities, knowledge management and research in practice, such as knowledge classification, knowledge organization, knowledge retrieval, knowledge discovery, knowledge excavation, knowledge network, knowledge map and knowledge domain, and so on., which are all based on knowledge connection. For all this, but the knowledge connection has not obtained the system research. Therefore, it has important theory significance to research knowledge connection systemically and integratedly.This article researches knowledge connection systemicly from four parts, that is knowledge connection outline and the knowledge connection's rationale, the knowledge connection structure, the knowledge connection measure and the knowledge connection application.The first part is the summarization of knowledge connection and the theory foundation of knowledge connection. Knowledge connection is all the relation among knowledge units(including knowledge carriers such as document, heads and knowledge content such as concepts, words). Knowledge connection has some characteristics, such as reciprocity, universality, transmission, implicity, structural dimensions, accumulation, which are the basis for us to recognize and use knowledge connection. There are many types of knowledge connections, but only explicit knowledge connection, implicit knowledge connection, subject knowledge connection, theme knowledge connection, knowledge carrier connection, and knowledge content connection are important. We study knowledge connection on the basis of following theories: general connection of world, small world phenomenon, unity and succession of science development, integration and crossing of subjects, knowledge citation theory, and relativity principles. The second part is constructure of knowledge connection. Knowledge connection shows up particular structure, the form of knowledge structure takes on linear and nonlinear structure, chain mode structure, hierarchical organization and network structure. Among them, chain mode structure, hierarchical organization are classical linear structure, network structure is classical nonlinear structure. There are three kinds of knowledge structures, that is, chain mode structure(knowledge connection link), hierarchical organization(know connection tree) and network structure(knowledge connection network). Knowledge connection link assembles into knowledge connection tree, and knowledge connection tree assembles into knowledge connection network.The third part is the measurement of knowledge connection. There are three ways in knowledge connection measurement, that is yes or no connection measurement, connection intensity measurement, connection modes measurement. There are different measuring index and method for different knowledge connection structure and system.The fourth part is the application of knowledge connection. The application of knowledge connection focuses on three areas, that is, field of library and information science, field of information technology, field of social and economy. In addition, the knowledge connection have also been associated with a certain degree of application in other domains.
