To automobiles, the power performance is the main and important character which directly affect its efficency and cost in transportation. The computer simulation of the power performance is not only fast, exact, but also effective and convenient which has become an important subject to study power performance of engine and automobile.The development and application of the driving simulator provide convenient experiment system for study about power performance of vehicle. According to the actual parameters of power performance,the text has established the simulation model and developed Object-Oriented simulation operating system of power performance. Based on the simulation operating system, The full-load performance value of vehicle that allows the user to modify can be continually amended so that to confirm the simulation model.Through the comparison and analysis for power performance index from the simulation model of power performance and actual vehicle such as top speed and accelerating speed time,the text has proved the established simulation model of power performance. At the same time,input the power performance parameters about the model car which was chosen including Fit-L13A3,Buick regal2.0 and Crown3.0 to the power performance model in driving simulator. Then use the eveluate index such as top speed and accelerating speed time come from the driving simulator to prove the power performance model in it. From the result of this examination,it can be drew a conclution that the power performance models of the simulation system and that driving simulator can basically meet the needs of practice.
