As a typical active safety component for automotives, Antilock Braking System (ABS) is now attracting more attention of the researchers. ABS is also used on the vehicle more and more. ABS is the standard equipment in American and many countrys of Europe, but it is just start to develop ABS in China, so investigation of ABS is an important meaning.The author develops ABS with the way of based on computer simulation. Set up computer model of vehicle brake course. With simulate experimentation, get control method and control parameter fitting ABS, and then Electronic Control Unit (ECU) hardware and software is realized, at last hardware and software is proved through test in the loop.At first, the author set up computer model of vehicle brake course with Matlab/Simulink software and Fuzzy Logic Toolbox tool boxes, subsequently analyze PID controller and parameter self-adapt fuzzy PID controller through comparing test result of two controller.Secondly, ABS hardware make use of ECU of development by J&K corporation, main processor is Motorola mpc564, based on hardware the author carry out ABS bottom and application software with integration developmentenvironment CodeWarrior.In order to read and modify data of ECU real-time, through CAN-USB communication between PC and ECU, using Visual C++ 6.0 as a software programming means to design a real-time monitoring platform. The experiment results demonstrated in the monitoring platform with functions such as slip ratio wave displaying real-time, vehicle and wheel speed wave displaying real-time, data saving and printing, alarming and so on. Interface between work man and system is friendly.
