Coke is one of the essential raw materials in the iron and steel production, mainly used in blast furnace ironmaking, nonferrous metallurgy. The coking process, which involves coke oven heating-combustion process, gas-collector collecting process and coke-pushing process, is a very complex industrial process with the feature of multi input and multi output. What'more, abundant data are including and placing distributed. On the basis of analyzing coking production technology and system requirement, a scheme is proposed for realizing real-time centralized monitoring for coking process, then a hierarchical system structure which contains three layers of comprehensive production objective optimization and centralized monitoring, process optimization control and basic automation is designed.In order to provide stable, reliable data source for real-time centralized monitoring system, an OPC sever which can real-time collect process data, and an Oracle database sever which can store historical data are developed.To realize real-time process data automatic transferring, the technologies such as the OPC, ADO, COM are applied, OPC client program based on C/S architecture model and database application are programmed under Visual C++ in the process of solving data transplant among different severs. An alarming and acknowledgement mechanism with three classes is given to ensure the coke oven safe production. A real-time centralized monitoring system is developed by configuration software WinCC, the functions of which are designed in the form of dynamic real-time monitoring, fault alarming, real-time and historical trend display, table management, etc.The system was applied in the coking plant of an iron and steel company. And the actual results show that it is safe and steady. It improves automation level of enterprise, and lessens the labor intensity; Meanwhile, it realizes real-time centralized monitoring of coking production state, and creates great economic and social benefits.
