We have made big progress in aluminum electrolytic industry in recent years. All the aluminum electrolytic plant in our country use the Pre-baked Pot Technology on aluminum electrolysis production. The measurement of shell temperature is the main problem of aluminium electrolysis production, which will directly have effect on electrolytic aluminum industry development. However, we still don't have a good way of measuring the temperature of aluminum reduction cells. The present method of measuring temperature has many weak points, which not only needs tremendous manpower and resources but also can't find defects immediately. Therefore, it is quite necessary to build a real-time online monitoring system to solve the safety problems.This issue derives from one project of Yankuang Ke'ao Aluminium Co., Ltd., that is the "Monitoring System for Aluminium Reduction Cell Shell Temperature". Based on the analysis of the present temperature measuring situation and the demand of system functions, we build a real-time online monitoring system with three-tier architecture, which contains the distributed browser, the web server and the database. This is a comprehensive powerful system, which supports the online monitoring of temperature, the query of historical records, the alarming, the report generation and so on.This paper centers on the design and implement of the database and the software system, both of which are based on the system feasibility analysis and the system demand analysis.The design of the datacase is based on the user's demand and the system's requirements. To meet the demand of dealing with large data, we choose Oracle as the database. Furthermore, to make good use of the database, we use view, trigger, index and partition to manage it.The technology of Java Web is firstly introduced in the software system with the JSP, Servlet, MVC Design Pattern, Struts Architecture and Web Container. Furthermore, the B/S structure and the technology to connect the oracle database using Java and JDBC are analyzed in this paper. In this paper, The functional modules of "Real Time Monitoring System for Aluminium Reduction Cell Shell Temperature Based on B/S Structure" are analyzed in detail with the program flow diagram and software interface. The software system has the functions of user management, parameter maintenance, realtime manifestation, history search, alarm, report and the setting of monitor group. All the functional modules work in coordination to ensure that the system can work safely, reliably and efficiently.The system uses Netbeans to develop client Application and uses JDBC technology to connect the oracle database, finally it adopts the B/S structure to issue it. After the system is published, users can visit it by means of network. To ensure the safety and standardization of management of the system, we set different privileges for different users. We made a great amount of test and debug work before it was put into industrial operation. We solved all the problems immediately in the phase of test and debug to make sure that the system can work normally and efficiently.By the end of this paper, the development of the software system has been completed and the system has been put into operation. I hope that the system will make positive contribution for the aluminum production technology and can improve the level of information and network of our country.
